Moose Rescued

When homo sapiens ascended to the driving force of global ecosystems, we entered a new age, the Anthropocene.  We are no longer living off the natural order, we are managing it. That means sometimes we rescue, sometimes we hunt.

Prudence is the mother of the virtues.

Moose Rescue
MOOSE RESCUED IN NORTHERN WIOn Sept. 24, Canadian Railroad staff noticed a moose entangled in wire near a train track outside Phillips, WI. Railroad staff contacted DNR. With the help of the U.S Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services, they and our staff immobilized the moose and removed the wire. Within an hour, the moose was freed, allowed to roam once again.
